In celebration of World Arabic Language Day on December 18, SinaLab at Birzeit University proudly announced the release of 20 open-source resources dedicated to Arabic language computing and artificial intelligence. These resources aim to advance the development and accessibility of Arabic NLP tools and technologies for researchers and developers worldwide.
The announcement includes groundbreaking tools like the Arabic Ontology, a formal representation of Arabic concepts and their interrelations; the Qabas Lexicon, offering rich semantic relations; and ArabGlossBERT, a state-of-the-art model for Arabic word disambiguation. Additionally, datasets and tools such as Wojood NER for named entity recognition and Salma WSD for word sense disambiguation further support advanced AI applications in the Arabic language.
